The ultimate thematic experience. Sign up for our olive picking and olive production program. Experience this agricultural activity with us from October to December. Through our guidance, you can become a part of an unforgettable experience similar to the one our grandparents and parents had all these years.
In the morning we start our day with a visit to the Arkadi Monastery, in order to light a candle and get God’s blessing for a successful olive harvest. Afterward, we head to the olive groves while providing you with all the information you need about olive trees and how to properly care for them. We present you with the equipment we will need and instruct you on its use.
After the nets are spread out, we start to harvest. Upon completing the process we collect the olives and take them to the olive mill. Before our departure we will also try our local products, on the field, to regain our strength and continue with our tour.
We will take you on an olive mill tour and you will learn everything there is to know about olive oil production. After that we will proceed to olive oil tasting.
We will be ready to depart as soon as we finish the production process.. however, our next stop will be our traditional and welcoming gastronomy venue – SIMA. The time to enjoy Cretan food and wine has come as a delicious epilogue to our day..

Arkadi Monastery just 25 minutes away from the last pickup. The tour leader will clarify the important role this monastery had in the revolution against the Ottomans while instructing your visit to this historical place.
We head to the olive grove.
Once we have completed the olive harvesting process, we head to the olive mill in our minibus. There we will give you a tour of the site and you will witness in real-time the olive oil production from the olives we collected.
It’s time for lunch. We head to the village of Prasses, to our traditional venue where we will taste traditional Cretan flavors together.
Don’t forget that at each stop there will be downtime and toilet facilities.. Have fun!
